About MasonicWebsite
MasonicWebsite exists for a simple reason: Masonic organisations need websites, but most Lodge officers do not want to become web designers to get one.
We have specialised in websites for Freemasonry since 2011, working with Lodges and Masonic venues that need a professional online presence without the usual blank-page process, jargon and technical burden.
We understand the audience
A prospective member sees a Lodge website very differently from an existing Mason. He may know very little about Freemasonry, may have several basic questions and may not be ready to send an enquiry on his first visit.
An existing member wants accurate dates and useful Lodge information. A visiting Mason needs practical details. A committee wants the website to represent the Lodge properly without creating unnecessary work.
Our job is to balance those needs.
We do not expect the Lodge to be a copywriting agency
Many web-design projects stall at exactly the same point: Please send us all the text. A Lodge committee then has to decide who is going to write ten pages.
Our approach is different. We collect structured facts and background, then write the core website copy from that information. The Lodge checks the facts, tone and detail. That is much quicker than asking volunteers to start from a blank document.
WordPress, because the Lodge needs a future
We use WordPress rather than locking each Lodge into a private site-builder that only we can operate. Most client sites use WordPress.com, which combines WordPress with managed hosting. The finished pages remain standard editable WordPress content.
From a one-off build to the level of support you actually want
Some Lodges have enthusiastic members who want to maintain the website themselves. That is fine. Other Lodges want someone to handle the technical work, content updates, domain, email or SEO. That is fine too.
We separate the core website from optional ongoing services so you are not forced into a large recurring package simply to keep your Lodge online.
Built around evidence, not web-design fashion
Our portfolio stretches back over many years and across different types of Masonic organisation. That experience matters because a Lodge site is rarely improved by adding the latest fashionable effect. Clear information, good photography, readable copy and a sensible enquiry route generally matter far more.

What we are building now
Our current generation of Lodge websites makes the setup process substantially easier. A structured questionnaire collects the Lodge details and requirements; our production system then gives us a complete starting website rather than a collection of empty pages. We still review, edit and finish the result before launch.
The technology speeds up the repetitive work. It does not remove the human judgement that makes one Lodge site different from another.
